Toronto-born artist Mistee J. Clarke is an Illustrator, Painter and Visionary. Through her art, Mistee aims to encourage reflection and dialogue leading to positive change for self and the community. Gaining her inspiration from urban and third world societies, ancient culture and nature, Mistee correlates their ideas and aesthetics to themes such as interpersonal conflict, the underdog and spirituality.
Mistee’s work has been shown in the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery, The Homer Watson Art Gallery and in the 2012 Winter OCAD University Student Exhibition. She is a recipient of the Jamaican Arts and Culture Inc. Scholarship in 2012 and is presently an active member in the Onyx Society at OCADU.
When Mistee is not pursuing her personal artistry, through MvsK Designs, she is collaborating with and designing for various Toronto-based organizations such as Nia Centre for the Arts, Melange Marketing, and RealBashment Solutions, as well as various independent musicians and artists.
