Donate to Nia Centre
Nia Centre for the Arts is a Toronto-based charitable organization (81962 2861 RR0001), which supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of arts from across the African Diaspora. At the end of 2014, we were delighted to take occupancy of our new home, the former Toronto Public Health building located at 524 Oakwood Avenue (south of Vaughan Road).
Be. Belong. Become.
Be. Belong. Become. is the name of our fundraising campaign to support the transformation of our facility into a multidisciplinary art centre. We are building an arts centre that allows individuals to BE who they are, to BELONG to a physical space that fosters a sense of community and to BECOME, grow and expand one’s sense of purpose and consciousness. With a campaign goal to raise $1,000,000, we are happy to report we have reached 42% of our goal thus far.
With your support Nia Centre will become a 170-seat performance venue, with a digital arts incubator, a visual arts studio, an exhibition gallery, hot desks and an audio engineering studio.
Your donation enables Nia Centre to deliver programs in the areas of Music, Literature, Dance, Photography, Film and Theatre and enhance the culture fabric of the City of Toronto.
